As a Solutions Engineer/Architect, you will help develop and deploy hardware and software solutions while collaborating with clients, internal teams, partners, and system integrators. Responsibilities include mapping clients’ journeys before and after Kargo implementation through process maps, flow charts, spaghetti diagrams, and photographed documentation of cargo and freight types. You will participate in customer-facing meetings with Account Executives and Client Operations to gather implementation data, including ROI calculations, deliverable documentation, process enhancements, and efficiency improvement recommendations. You will provide industrial and software engineering support for improvements involving computer vision, machine learning, the software stack, and compute. Field operations for existing and future customers may involve improving processes before and after installation, streamlining the shipping and installation of physical Kargo towers, and working with Hardware, Software, and Field Service teams to optimize tower positioning and maximize warehouse industrial space. You will map facility inbound and outbound processes, including shipment creation, scheduling, driver check-in and check-out, and operational reporting, to improve visibility into current and future operations. You will also identify opportunities for software features, functionality, and automation through document and data ingestion, digitization, and validation; identify accuracy gaps related to product value; and map technical integration specifications from clients’ systems of record to Kargo’s software stack. Additional duties include supporting Client Solutions meetings and continuous improvement across the client base, sharing product, business, and technical knowledge with partners and system integrators, and providing expertise for complex solutions and business requirements. You will present solution value and ROI concepts; build and deliver detailed and high-level product demonstrations based on predetermined scripts or free-form presentations; and manage work within a dedicated demo environment. The role also supports collaborative work aligned with product strategy and growth, along with ongoing product design and operational improvements. Candidates must be able to travel ~50% of the time. Experience of 5+ years in a customer-facing technical solutions role is preferred. An understanding of supply chain requirements in Food & Bev, 3PL, and/or complex distribution systems is preferred, including their interactions with WMS, TMS, ERP, and other automation solutions. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required, along with a problem-solving attitude and strong listening skills. Experience and proficiency with Atlassian Suite, Figma, Datadog, and other productivity software solutions is ideal. A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred.
