The Financial Operations Associate will join a new FinOps subteam responsible for reconciliations across the organization. The role focuses on maintaining oversight of fund movements and ensuring funds flow as expected for transactions on the Xendit platform. It suits a reliable, collaborative problem solver who pays close attention to detail, can work accurately under pressure, is willing to investigate technical root causes, and is comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment. A willingness to challenge the status quo is a plus. Minimum qualifications are a degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, or a similar field; 1–3 years of relevant experience in a startup or fast-paced environment, or in payments, fintech, or financial services; excellent spoken and written English; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; and the ability to identify patterns or discrepancies in data and information. Preferred qualifications include experience working with banks or large financial institutions on finance, payments, and reconciliations; experience with reconciliation tools and SQL; and the initiative to ask questions and find answers. Candidates should be able to prioritize work against tight deadlines, work effectively under pressure, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, take ownership of goals, learn new skills through independent exploration and relationship building, and approach problems creatively from a customer perspective while remaining pragmatic and focused on solutions. They should enjoy learning and seek continual improvement. Responsibilities include carrying out reconciliations for Xendit’s daily financial operations and owning the reconciliation process for all products across the region to identify unexpected fund movements, exposure, or incorrect transactions. The associate will work with product teams to automate reconciliations and close process gaps that could lead to money loss; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders; and work with product, partnerships, and finance teams to identify and resolve the root causes of unreconciled transactions. As products launch and Xendit enters new markets, the associate will establish and own reconciliation processes to maintain best-in-class standards. The role also offers an opportunity to learn how Xendit operates from the ground up and contribute to the organization’s future.
