Kargo's mission focuses on bridging the physical world of freight with the digital ecosystem used for managing it. Smart infrastructure advancements are seen as critical to enabling a safer, more efficient logistics future. Their loading dock sensor platform checks all incoming and outgoing freight, compiling data that allows shippers and carriers to handle dock operations efficiently, swap suppliers, and monitor material flow in real time. As part of the Kargo team, you will develop and deploy upcoming hardware and software solutions aimed at transforming logistics. Responsibilities include traveling to customer facilities to lead inspection, installation, and servicing visits for Kargo customers. Install Kargo towers and other hardware products at customer locations. Coordinate with contractors on-site for electrical work, forklift modifications, and installation support. Manage shipping of towers and tools from Kargo inventory to customer sites. Collaborate with Manufacturing by providing configurations and specifications gathered during site visits. Work with Product and Hardware teams to make engineering suggestions that streamline installation and related features. Engage with customers during on-site visits. This is not a sales position, and most customer visits will include members of Kargo's Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams. However, this role will require coordinating with customers on timing and installation preferences. Near 90% travel is expected; comfort with that level of travel is required. Requirements: 3+ years of experience servicing industrial equipment, vehicles, utilities, robots, or similar. Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and optical troubleshooting. Preference given to candidates experienced across all three systems. High availability for short-notice domestic travel, as this role includes both scheduled and unplanned service visits. Service visits may fall outside normal business hours. Preference for candidates who have serviced equipment in warehouse and/or factory environments. Strong communication and documentation skills are needed, including the ability to direct contractors and explain processes to customers.
