The UX Researcher leads generative and evaluative research across the merchant lifecycle and developer experience. The role sets a research roadmap for the domain’s three clusters, prioritizing questions where evidence is most needed. Research methods include interviews, usability tests, surveys, and behavioral and funnel analysis in partnership with Data. The researcher translates findings into decisions for product managers and designers, maintains a lightweight insight repository, and develops a practical approach to wider participation in research while preserving rigor for high-stakes questions. Reporting to the Product Design & UX Director for Customer Lifecycle, the researcher works with PMs and designers across all three clusters. They set the research cadence, determine when in-depth or lightweight research is appropriate, and influence decisions through evidence rather than authority. The team values validated findings and direct, candid critique. Candidates need mixed-methods UX research experience across qualitative and quantitative approaches, the ability to turn findings into product decisions and influence without authority, and a pragmatic approach to balancing rigor with timelines. Experience researching fintech or regulated products or developer audiences, quantitative fluency, and ResearchOps or insight-repository experience are strong advantages.
