Title: Product Manager
Company: Flip
Role reports to the Product Lead. Based in Brooklyn, NY, with onsite attendance Monday through Friday.
Flip operates at the center of customer support, one of 3 fast-growing categories in B2B AI alongside coding and legal. The company holds a distinct market position with hundreds of committed clients, ranging from Under Armour to Tory Burch to some of the largest healthcare institutions in the country. The market has split into two groups: generic tooling-and-FDE players creating custom agents from scratch, and industry-specific solutions that win on client satisfaction through speed of ROI. Flip is firmly in the second camp. Retail and healthcare alone each represent $5B+ TAMs, and the company is still in its early stages. The company was built around a simple principle: the best way to grow is to maintain a reference list as long as your customer list. Flip now has a team of 100+ people, with offices in NYC, LA, and the UK. Many employees describe it as the best place they've worked and the hardest they've worked — both are true.
Core responsibilities include owning defined areas of Flip's product end to end: defining product direction, shaping solutions, and driving execution across core voice experiences, automation capabilities, and real-world product behavior. Reporting to the Product Lead, you establish direction and ensure execution within your scope, deciding what gets built, what doesn't, and why. Examples of problems to tackle: automating complex customer calls (subscriptions, billing, healthcare workflows); designing AI behavior in ambiguous, multi-turn conversations; improving retention, resolution rates, and customer experience through automation; building systems that combine voice, AI, APIs, and real-time decisioning. The role sits at the intersection of product, AI systems, customer experience, and business outcomes.
Day-to-day: you care about the customers' own customers and understand their needs along their consumer journey. You own the success of one or more core product features, focused on measurable outcomes and real-world impact — not just outputs, timelines, or feature delivery. You collaborate with Customer Success, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to ensure strong product adoption, clarity of value, and real customer impact. You are comfortable meeting with customers (Retail or Healthcare companies) and confident in showcasing how phone automation can be increased over time. You serve as a copilot to Engineering for setting priorities, writing detailed specs, and helping with QA, as each additional call automated translates to an additional dollar in revenue. You understand why each new feature is impactful and can align with Marketing on delivering it to the right customers. You set a high bar for execution, usability, and coherence across the vertical portal. You are excited to continue delivering WEEKLY product releases (https://flipcx.com/product-releases/).
Ideal candidate profile: you have built products where success depended on getting the system behavior right — not just shipping features. You think in terms of outcomes (revenue, retention, efficiency), not just features. You are comfortable working on products combining software, data, and AI behavior. You have strong intuition for systems, APIs, and product constraints (latency, reliability, scale). You have worked on or closely with AI, automation, or complex workflow products. You can design experiences for high-stakes user actions (payments, cancellations, order by phone, scheduling). You are highly data-driven and define success through clear, measurable metrics. You are known for thinking through edge cases, failure modes, and real-world usage. You thrive in fast-paced environments where you define the problem before solving it. You are eager and willing to support your teammates — just as they will with you.
Additional details: Flip operates internationally, spanning the US, UK, and Canada. The company has raised +$30M to date, including a recent $20M Series A — backed by Ridge, Next Coast, ScOp, Bullpen Capital, Data Point, and Forum Ventures, as well as founders and executives from Amazon Alexa, Ada, Attentive, and Simon Data. Benefits include comprehensive healthcare and unlimited vacation, including a mandatory half week for everyone over July 4, and a full week off at the end of the year. Onsite 5 days/week.
Final compensation may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications. The role is also eligible for equity, in accordance with company policy, and subject to board approval. Compensation range: $110,000 — $185,000 USD.
Flip's customers span the globe, and so do its offices. The company is committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees, applicants, and covered individuals regardless of protected characteristics, aiming for a company as diverse and inclusive as its customers.
