LOWONGAN
Xendit provides payment infrastructure across Southeast Asia and is expanding into Greater China and LATAM. Its services include payment processing, marketplace support, payroll and loan disbursements, KYC solutions, and fraud prevention. It offers APIs, eCommerce platform integrations, and applications for individual entrepreneurs, SMEs, and enterprises. The company focuses on building payment rails that make payments within and across Southeast Asia simple, secure, and easy. It serves thousands of businesses, from SMEs to multinational enterprises, and processes millions of transactions each month. Since its founding in 2015, it has grown rapidly, adding hundreds of customers monthly. It is backed by global top-10 VCs and has been featured by Y Combinator among the fastest-growing companies.
At a payment-infrastructure company, APIs are a major part of the product. Developers both choose and use them, so the quality of the APIs, SDKs, documentation, sandbox, and integration process shapes their experience. This role owns the developer journey from the first API call through production and scale, with a focus on helping developers reach a successful transaction rather than abandoning integration early.
Responsibilities include setting the developer-experience roadmap for integration flows, SDKs, documentation, sandbox, error handling, and time to the first successful call. The role owns developer activation and retention metrics from sign-up through the first production transaction and beyond. It uses integration analytics, support and community signals, and direct developer research to guide discovery. It also partners with Engineering on API design and developer-experience standards, weighs developer-experience debt against new capabilities, communicates trade-offs to senior stakeholders, and turns platform changes into a coherent developer-facing experience.
The role reports to the Product Design & UX Director for Customer Lifecycle and works closely with Engineering. Early work includes helping define ownership of developer experience, which has not previously had a dedicated product owner. As strategic owner of the developer journey, the person in this role divides their time between developer discovery and roadmap delivery while maintaining a close Engineering partnership. The team works from validated findings rather than assumptions and values direct, candid critique.
Candidates need product management experience with API, platform, or developer-facing products and must have owned products used by developers. Technical fluency is required, including the ability to read API documentation and discuss schemas, authentication, and webhooks with engineers. They should understand developer workflows and where developers encounter difficulties. A developer background, experience building SDKs, documentation, or developer-experience products, and payments or fintech experience are strong pluses.
