We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our Indonesia finance team and oversee tax compliance, tax risk management, audits, and tax-related advisory matters. Key responsibilities include leading the company’s tax compliance and reporting activities in line with Indonesian tax regulations; ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and submission of monthly and annual tax returns; monitoring changes in Indonesian tax laws and regulations and assessing their impact on business operations; managing tax audits, assessments, disputes, and communications with Indonesian tax authorities; and providing tax advice and support to management and relevant business functions. You will support tax planning and optimization initiatives while maintaining full regulatory compliance, review business transactions, agreements, and company activities from a tax perspective, coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and other relevant parties when required, and monitor tax payments, reconciliations, and tax-related financial records. You will also identify potential tax risks, develop appropriate mitigation measures, lead and manage the local tax team, and support the overall finance function. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field, 5+ years of relevant tax experience, and prior supervisory or management experience. Candidates must have strong knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, regulations, and tax compliance requirements. Experience handling tax audits, tax assessments, tax disputes, and tax authority matters is preferred. Fluent Mandarin Chinese is required, along with a working proficiency in English or Bahasa Indonesia. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills are required. You must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience in logistics, transportation, e-commerce, retail, or other fast-paced industries is an advantage. Brevet A & B or another relevant professional tax certification is preferred.
