System Engineer (API Infrastructure & Monitoring) As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the stability of infrastructure supporting MTS/HTS backend (API) services operated in an on-premise environment. The primary goal is to keep trading services running healthily 24×365 by tracking API performance through monitoring and APM tools, identifying issues before customers detect them, responding rapidly to incidents, and continually enhancing monitoring and operational automation. Given the nature of the securities business, even brief downtime or slow response during market hours directly affects customers. Responsibilities: - Operate and manage infrastructure for MTS/HTS backend (API) services in an on-premise environment - Manage API servers, web/WAS, and middleware along with their performance - Operate, manage, and improve the integrated monitoring system: collect server/network/application (API) metrics and maintain dashboards; define and execute threshold-based alerting policies; monitor API response time, throughput (TPS), and error rates through APM - Operate log collection/analysis systems and carry out root-cause analysis of incidents - Handle incidents, develop preventive measures, and produce incident reports - Perform capacity planning and expansion planning; support performance testing - Manage L4/L7 load balancer configurations and analyze traffic patterns - Apply OS/middleware patches; carry out security vulnerability checks and remediation - Conduct routine inspections, provide deployment support, and improve operational automation - Assist DR (disaster recovery) drills and backup/recovery operations Requirements: - 5+ years of system engineering experience - Hands-on Linux server operations experience (kernel parameter tuning, resource analysis, etc.) - Experience operating web/WAS (Nginx, Apache, etc.) and API servers - Experience configuring and operating monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, etc.) - Experience with APM tools (Pinpoint, Scouter, Whatap, Jennifer, Datadog APM, etc.) - Ability to automate operations using scripts (Shell, Python, etc.) - Strong incident response and root-cause analysis capabilities (logs, resources, network path analysis) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience operating on-premise infrastructure in the financial industry (securities, banking, etc.) - Experience running 24×365 customer-facing services such as MTS/HTS - Experience operating infrastructure for Python-based (e.g., FastAPI) services - Experience with log collection/analysis platforms (ELK, Loki, etc.) - Understanding of network equipment such as L4/L7 switches and firewalls - Experience operating middleware such as Redis and Kafka - Experience managing high-volume transaction loads (e.g., market-open peak traffic) - Understanding of financial IT security requirements and OJK regulations on information technology for financial institutions - Relevant certifications (RHCSA/RHCE, LPIC, CCNA, etc.) are a plus Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Linux/network-level troubleshooting, monitoring and APM-based performance analysis (metrics, alerting, TPS/response time), and incident root-cause analysis for 24×365 on-premise financial API services
