As a Manufacturing Engineer, you play a central role in moving new products from development through to full‑scale production. You work closely with Product Industrialization, Quality, and Operations teams to establish manufacturing requirements, refine production processes, implement design changes, install new equipment, and optimize Capex investments. The role suits an engineer comfortable in a dynamic manufacturing setting who enjoys tackling complex technical problems.
Responsibilities include contributing to the mechanical design, development, and optimization of production equipment and tooling; collaborating with engineering teams to design and validate mechanical components using CAD and simulation tools; assessing mechanical designs for robustness, ergonomics, durability, thermal performance, and reliability; driving mechanical equipment improvements to boost performance, cut downtime, and support high‑volume manufacturing; leading PDLM subprojects and ensuring smooth design‑to‑manufacturing transfer; defining production requirements and supporting factory readiness for new products; reviewing and updating Quality Control Plans and Work Instructions for compliance and safety; supporting equipment installation, process ramp‑up, and troubleshooting leveraging PLC/automation knowledge; driving design changes and process improvements across the product lifecycle; implementing Lean initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and resource utilization; and optimizing Capex for recurring equipment while ensuring seamless integration of new tools.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience. Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred. A solid grasp of manufacturing principles, EHS, PLM, process improvement, DFM, and CAPA is expected, along with hands‑on experience in equipment installation, mechanical design, automation, and troubleshooting. The ability to drive continuous improvement independently with strong project management skills is needed. Candidates must be willing to work on site in Batam.
Office‑based teams work in‑person at least 3 days per week; onsite roles require full‑time presence at the company's facilities; field roles are performed outside the main facilities, generally at customers' or suppliers' locations. This is an onsite role.
