Its customers are affluent business owners generating $3–$200M in revenue—a segment described as both economically significant and highly underserved in finance. They currently rely on outdated banks and fragmented tools, all of which Flex aims to replace. The market opportunity is estimated at ~$1T+ in revenue. The stated ambition is to build a $100B+ company through a fundamentally better product rather than incremental improvement. Flex has raised $100M+ in equity and $300M+ in debt. Roles are available in San Francisco, Miami, New York, and fully remote. This is a new program offering the chance to join the founding team of the Office of the CEO—a small group of high-caliber operators working directly for the Founder & CEO on the company's highest priorities. It is explicitly not a rotational program or fixed analyst lane; scope is determined by what needs solving rather than a job description. The hire will help identify these opportunities. Responsibilities include taking on the CEO's highest-priority problems directly—strategic projects, market research, competitive analysis, financial analysis, and cross-functional execution, often without an existing playbook; identifying problems, developing solutions, and executing them across multiple initiatives simultaneously; building and owning models and analyses that inform major company decisions; collaborating across departments as business priorities shift; and as the team grows, helping recruit, ramp, and manage subsequent associates. Requirements include 3–5 years in top-tier investment banking (TMT/fintech coverage), private equity, management consulting, late-stage venture capital, or a fast-growing startup; a track record of outperformance with clear signals of being trusted with more scope, faster, than peers; strong quantitative and analytical skills including advanced Excel, working knowledge of SQL, and comfort with messy data and building models from scratch; extreme rigor and comfort operating in ambiguity at speed; demonstrated ability to sustain a high-intensity pace, with the role regularly requiring ~12-hour days, 5–6 days a week, especially in year one; and the role is based in Miami or NYC and involves travel. Nice-to-haves include an ideal background in math, physics, or another highly quantitative field and understanding of fintech, banking, or financial infrastructure. The starting base salary is $200k+ equity. This is a full-time role with benefits. Final compensation is commensurate with candidate experience, work location, and interview performance.
