Deskripsi Pekerjaan

Clinical Quality Consultant at Bayesian Health Bayesian Health is a fast-growing startup working to shift healthcare toward a proactive model by equipping physicians, nurses, and care team members with real-time data. In this role you will support product quality for an FDA-cleared, AI-powered clinical platform, covering complaint investigation once the platform is live in hospitals along with the quality system and regulatory documentation behind it. Bayesian Health's mission centers on improving patient outcomes by giving clinicians the insights needed to make the right decision for the right patient at the point of care. The team includes clinicians, engineers, AI specialists, product designers, and performance improvement leaders focused on enabling smarter, patient-specific care through data. Investors include Obvious Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, the American Medical Association's venture arm, Catalio Partners, and LifeForce Capital. Recognitions include Forbes AI Top 50, World Economic Forum Tech Pioneer, Time Best Inventions, and BioTech AI Company of the Year. Peer-reviewed research published in Nature Medicine associates their products with improved patient outcomes. The role sits within the Clinical Production Support team. When care teams ask why an alert fired or did not fire, that inquiry lands here, and answering it well requires genuine clinical judgment. Clinical case reviews make up the largest share of the work and are the core of this position. You will examine what happened in a given encounter, arrive at a sound and defensible conclusion, and communicate it clearly to the clinicians and client teams who submitted it. Strong clinical reasoning is essential. On top of that, you will develop an understanding of how the product operates, including flag generation, suppression logic, and data flow from the EHR into the model. Technical fluency is taught on the job rather than required at hire. The same applies to medical device regulatory work, where you will grow into product complaint handling and, after training, contribute to the disposition of possible anomalies that gate releases. This function is still being built: case volume is growing faster than the surrounding process, so you will be writing and improving review standards, templates, and escalation paths as much as following them. Responsibilities include performing clinical case reviews on sepsis alerts by examining the encounter record, establishing the clinical timeline, determining whether the alert behaved as designed, and producing an internal case review with cited evidence and a recommended next action. You will build and apply working knowledge of how the product generates, suppresses, and delivers flags, including the EHR data driving them, so conclusions hold up to both clinical and technical review. You will review the AI-assisted triage and classification performed by internal tooling, including investigation and complaint classification, ticket creation, and draft acknowledgements, correcting them where clinical facts do not support the output. You will write clear, accurate responses to clinicians and clinical informatics teams following communication standards that protect patient privacy and avoid providing clinical direction. You will own escalation by routing issues to the accountable team in data science, engineering, implementation, or clinical, providing the necessary clinical context, and driving tickets through to closure. You will send close-out communications and close resolved tickets. You will manage a concurrent caseload against response commitments by tracking status, prioritizing by clinical and client risk, and keeping the queue current without prompting. You will identify recurring patterns across cases such as mapping failures, interface latency, or suppression gaps, quantify their frequency, and raise them with the owning team before clients do. You will create and improve case review templates, evidence standards, response language, triage rules, and escalation paths, documenting what you build so the next reviewer reaches the same conclusion from the same facts. You will support product complaint handling by documenting complaints and assembling the clinical evidence a complaint review requires and, once trained, contribute to the disposition of possible anomalies as part of the release process required of a regulated device. Required qualifications include sound judgment and the ability to reason from vitals, labs, medications, and documentation to a defensible conclusion; clear written communication suited to clinician and clinical informatics audiences; a track record of getting things done without close supervision in an environment where the process is still taking shape; evidence of fixing broken processes rather than working around them; the ability to learn a technical product quickly and reason about it accurately, including asking the right questions of engineering and data science; fluency with AI tools in daily work with the judgment to verify their output rather than pass it through; comfort working in a ticket-driven, data-heavy environment while staying organized and accurate across many concurrent cases; and a genuine interest in learning medical device quality and regulatory practice, including complaint handling. You need 5 years of experience in one of two paths: an active RN license and 3+ years of acute care experience (for example ICU, emergency, or rapid response) with strong familiarity with sepsis and clinical deterioration, OR commensurate healthcare experience with the ability to understand the clinical aspects of sepsis and clinical deterioration. Additional preferred experience includes working with EHRs such as Epic or Cerner, or work in clinical informatics, clinical research, or clinical decision support; exposure to SEP-1 or sepsis bundle abstraction and quality reporting; familiarity with medical device quality standards such as QMSR or ISO 13485 or clear eagerness to build that knowledge; and comfort reading structured clinical data exports and spreadsheets.
